When creating jewelry with your own hands, connecting rings are regularly used to connect different elements of the jewelry to each other. Most often, in order to open/close a single ring, craftswomen use two tools - thin-nose pliers and round-nose pliers, or two pairs of thin-nose pliers. With one tool, the ring is held like with tweezers, and with the second it is bent in the right direction. But often a lot of connecting rings are used in the decoration, and the traditional way of working with them significantly slows down the work. In order to speed up the assembly of jewelry, you can use a special tool for working with single-connecting rings - a slotted ring.
To work with the instrument, put it on a suitable finger of the left (or right for left-handers) hand. The ring does not have to be worn to the end, any phalanx of the finger will do. Take the connecting ring in your right hand with your fingers or thin nose pliers. Insert the ring into a suitable slot on the tool so that the gap in the ring is above the surface of the tool. By pulling the ring to the side, you can easily open/close it.
