Predatory carnivorous houseplant flycatcher, Pinguicula Weser
- Weser butterfly (pinguicula weser) is a hybrid of two Mexican species that is relatively easy to grow.
- The trap leaves are pale green, with shiny droplets of glands that attract insects. The leaves turn pink when exposed to sunlight. The flowers are purple, and single.
Light:
- This plant, like other butterworts, loves partial shade, but also feels good in the sun.
Humidity:
- Pinguicula adapts to any humidity from 30 to 80%.
The soil:
- The usual substrate for carnivorous plants is 70% peat and 30% sand.
Water:
- Watering with reverse osmosis or distilled water.
Have two different growth periods:
- in summer (May/September) - fill a saucer with 1 to 2 cm of water
- in winter (October/April) - you need to reduce watering and leave the substrate to dry between waterings.
Temperature:
- This carnivorous plant can be grown in a cold greenhouse, moderate temperatures, or in a terrarium.
- From 0 °C in winter, to 35 °C in summer.
